October 1982, Stig Blomqvist comes 1st in his Quattro with Hannu Mikkola just behind in 2nd at San Remo Rally.
Audi wins the World Rally Championship manufacturers title outright. Michele Mouton (Audi) runner up to Walter Rohrl in the drivers’ Championship and Hannu Mikkola (Audi) 3rd place.
