The very next day Adam was competing at Wiscombe Park Hillclimb. Adam and Jeff worked many late hours to get the newly built Audi quattro finished for it’s first event but unfortunately the car was plagued with the dreaded gremlins. They were unable to rectify the problem until the next day on return to the workshop. The quattro is based on the1982 Monte Carlo rally car. The following images were taken as Adam rounds Sawbench Hairpin and heads up through Castle Straight.

Also competing for the first time was the newly built Audi quattro belonging to Tim Clarke and Andy Trayner. Tim and Andy both from Poole where competing in their very first event. The car is a reproduction of the winning 1981 car of Hannu Mikkola and Arnie Hertz which took part in the RAC rally of that year. Tim and Andy’s quattro is seen in the paddock area at Wiscombe and rounding Wis Corner.

All three quattro’s will be competing at the next Wiscombe Park Hillclimb meeting on the17th May 2008 Torbay Motor Club event and the18th May 2008 Wildlife Autosport (Burnham-on-Sea M.C. and Taunton Motor Club) event.
